About the role
- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel, Commercial Transactions to lead and support complex commercial negotiations and provide legal guidance across a wide range of business transactions.
Responsibilities
- Lead deal negotiations from start to finish, collaborating with sales, finance, and operations teams.
- Develop and maintain templates, playbooks, and contracting processes to improve efficiency and ensure consistency.
- Provide legal support for new product launches, go-to-market initiatives, and international expansion.
- Support contract operations improvement initiatives.
- This role will partner closely with sales, procurement, product, and executive teams to structure, draft, and negotiate strategic agreements that drive business growth while managing risk.
Requirements
- 7-12+ years of experience, with a strong focus on commercial transactions-ideally a mix of law firm and in-house experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and advise business stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with data privacy, IP, and regulatory issues in commercial contracting.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting B2B technology or SaaS contracts strongly preferred.
- Preferred: Experience working with global teams or international contracts.
