About the role
- Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
- Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
- Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Responsibilities

- Software QA Engineer: Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
- Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements.
- Continually developing professional expertise in all aspects of test engineering.
- Evaluate and provide input to requirement documents.
- Ensure quality meets the requisite functional, technical, and regulatory compliance and maintains high overall product quality.
- Create a test environment and then control the integrity of that environment during the life of a project.
Requirements
- 8+ years' experience in software testing, setting up test environments, testing and logging results
- Well based knowledge of the lottery gaming industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office desktop applications, especially Word and Excel.
- Position Qualifications
- or equivalent experience.
- Project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
- Useful prior experience for this position includes:
- General proficiency in a Linux / Unix environment Jira bug / issue tracking and project management tool qTest test case management tool Able to write basic queries in SQL Server and JIRA boards Testing web applications Automated testing tools
- Travel 15% or less. Possess valid papers allowing for travel on short notice, possibly to foreign destinations.
- Your Personal Strengths
Nice to have
- Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) from ISTQB preferred.
- Certified Software Tester (CSTE) from Software Certifications preferred.
- A 2- or 4-year college degree, preferably in a technical area, is a plus.
- A working knowledge or experience with the JIRA Issue Management tool preferred.
Skills
- Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
