About the role
- The Scrum Master is responsible for enabling agile delivery across one or several teams within a scaled agile framework. The Scrum Master ensures that agile practices and ceremonies are understood, consistently applied, and continuously improved. This role helps teams deliver committed outcomes by facilitating Scrum events, removing impediments, promoting
- collaboration, protecting team focus, and supporting a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Owners and Project Managers to ensure work is clearly defined, prioritized, estimated, planned, and tracked through an actively managed backlog.
- Protect teams from unnecessary distractions, competing priorities, and unplanned work while helping maintain focus on agreed sprint and delivery commitments.
- Support delivery execution in alignment with approved priorities, cost, schedule, scope, quality, and value objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, Project Managers, and delivery teams to identify, escalate, and remove impediments that could affect delivery outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement by using retrospectives, team metrics, delivery insights, and feedback loops to improve productivity, quality, collaboration, and delivery predictability.
- Promote a collaborative, high-trust team culture that encourages transparency, knowledge sharing, cross-functional support, and constructive conflict resolution.
- Work across teams to identify dependencies, improve information flow, coordinate inter-team commitments, and support alignment across multiple work streams.
- Demonstrated servant leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and support cross-functional teams in a dynamic delivery environment.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines, and support multiple teams or initiatives simultaneously.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and related collaboration, planning, and reporting tools.
- The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP). #LI-SM1
