Responsibilities
- Lead strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise applications including the unified data platform and data access layer.
- Build the AI foundation that enables natural language queries, chatbot experiences, and RAG-based capabilities across structured and unstructured data.
- Design and govern the technical architecture to ensure scalability, performance, security, and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate priorities into technology solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers and architects, fostering a culture of accountability and delivery excellence.
- Drive data governance and AI readiness in partnership with PGIM's technology councils and enterprise architecture functions.
- Own the enterprise application roadmap for PGIM Real Estate, aligning investments and milestones with broader modernization priorities.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including SOW oversight, delivery accountability, and cost optimization.
- PGIM Real Estate Technology is seeking an Vice President and Principal Engineer, reporting to the PGIM Real Estate CTO, to drive the strategy, architecture, and delivery of our enterprise data, AI, and application platforms.
- This role will build the AI foundation powering data‑driven decisions, design scalable architecture, and partner with the business to deliver trusted, well‑governed solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (i.e. Python, Java, or C#) with hands-on coding and code review experience.
- The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology leader who thrives on solving complex data and architecture challenges while energizing and growing high-performing data engineering teams.
