About the role
- The last mile delivery driver handles the final leg of delivery and installation getting Base Power battery systems to members' homes on time and setting them up right.
- Day-to-day work includes operating a 26ft box truck with a passenger team member, loading products, driving a route, installing ground-mounted batteries systems, and keeping accurate delivery records in our in-house app.
- Our delivery and warehouse team ensures solar batteries, inverters, and installation equipment reach residential job sites on time and in perfect condition.
Requirements
- Your work directly impacts our ability to scale-every efficient route, properly kitted job, and damage-free delivery means another home powered by renewable energy instead of the grid.
Nice to have
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
- Experience driving box trucks, vans, or commercial vehicles preferred
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with members
- Able to learn and use apps, systems, and tech platforms required for the role
- Able to lift and carry 50+ lbs
- Comfortable navigating routes using GPS or mapping software
- Self-directed and reliable in a fast-paced environment
