About the role

  • We have grown to over 350 drivers and have terminal locations throughout Arizona, Utah and New Mexico.
  • A mechanic diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, and assists in the maintenance of all types of diesel and non-diesel engines.
  • This position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms and hands, grip, speak, hear, see, climb and/or balance, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, squat or crawl, use legs, and feet.

Requirements

  • Must have your own set of requisite tools and toolbox
  • No more than 2 moving violations within the previous 3 years
  • No major violations within the previous 5 years
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose & repair
  • Ability to pass a controlled substance test for pre-employment purposes
  • This position requires the ability to lift, carry, pull, push and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

  • 1 Year of Experience with diesel or heavy equipment preferred
  • Less experience will be considered on an individual basis and may require an extended training period

Skills

  • Work varying hours and schedules
  • Work overtime, as needed
  • Maintain a current driver license
  • Must be able to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy
  • Understand and comply with organizational policies and procedures and all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations
  • Apply general rules to specific problems
  • Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form
  • Ability to communicate information in verbal and written form and the ability to listen to and understand information and directions.
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide in whole numbers

Compensation

  • $24k-$30k
