About the role

  • The Production Operator plays a key role in the identification of performance issues and actively contributes to the resolution of problems and the continuous improvement of the plant performance.
  • This is accomplished through strict adherence to prescribed equipment operating parameters, closely monitoring the performance of the process equipment, and taking action to reduce occurrences of both efficiency and/or material losses.
  • Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities: - Understand the production "Sequence of Operation." - Ability to operate multiple pieces of production equipment within processing and packaging operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor machine performance and quickly identify incorrect machine performance and implement first-level troubleshooting to implement corrective measures.
  • Must perform all Clean-In-Place (CIP) duties including chemical testing and documentation.
  • Perform operator-based preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment including disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly.
  • Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment including immediately correcting or reporting safety issues to your supervisor.
  • Perform day to day plant sanitation tasks, execute master sanitation plan and suggest/implement improvements.
  • Lead plant detailed cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene activities to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines set out by sanitation function.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 4 years' experience in manufacturing.
  • Production staff will be required to work a rotating continental schedule.
  • Ability to operate multiple pieces of production equipment within processing and packaging operations.
  • Proficiency in understanding, monitoring and remediating machine malfunction alarms and ability to manage solutions efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
  • Perform quality checks and accurate quality documentation as required.
