About the role

  • Promoting good communication within the robotic department as well as other departments to ensure a quality product is essential.
  • PAY RATE: Hourly ($38.60-$44USD based on experience
  • Primary Work location - 1811 S Range Rd, St Clair, MI 48079, United States

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Robotic supervisor/s and department leads on continuous improvement; in order to maintain competitive edge in the automotive industry
  • Maintain and support departments developments and documents
  • Program robot paths, set up program structure and implement offline programming
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy (GM MPS)
  • The Robotic Lead will be responsible for completing the setup and installation of GM configured robots from a single robot to multiple robot cells.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience using Fanuc DCS software
  • Degree, Diploma or Certificate from a Mechatronics
  • Working knowledge of communication protocols (Enet IP)
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required
  • Successful candidates will possess programming capability, as well as have demonstrated experience with good troubleshooting, startup support, and set direction for other robotic team members.
  • Robot programmer will ensure all equipment is in a working order and will assist and train other robot techs as required.
