About the role

  • Job Description Summary Organization's Summary Statement: Critical Infrastructure: Industrial Control System (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) Security.
  • The position is a temporary, funded contractual appointment and reports directly to the Cyber Warrior Diversity program director.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Knowledge of organizational principles and time management practices.

Requirements

  • Experience in Ladder Logic and/or Function Block programmable logic
  • Experience in designing, configuring, and uploading PLC programs in the
  • Experience using Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
  • Experience in configuring and managing basic network devices such as
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common computer network issues in a
  • Ability to design and deliver technical training sessions and workshops for

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in industrial automation, control systems,
  • Proficient in Python and/or C/C++ programming
  • CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+ certification (or equivalent
  • or OT/ICS/cybersecurity environments.
  • vendor/industry certifications such as CCNA, GICSP, etc.)

Compensation

  • $70,000 to $90,000
  • The minimum benefits to be provided to all Contingent Category II employees, on an annual basis, are listed below.
  • Annual Leave - Five (5) days of accrued annual
  • $70,000 - $90,000
  • Five (5) days of accrued annual

  • Benefits other than leave are subject to change by action of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, the University System of Maryland, or the State of Maryland.
  • The minimum benefits to be provided to all Contingent Category II employees, on an annual basis, are listed below.
  • These benefits shall be prorated for contracts of less than one year and for less than full-time employment.
