Employer immigration record

from this employer's Department of Labor filings

Files H-1B transfers

4 transfer filings in the last year, covering 4 workers. Median labor-condition decision: 7 days. An employer that already files transfers is one that can take over an existing H-1B.

Sourced from Department of Labor LCA, PERM and prevailing-wage disclosure data. Employer matching is by name, so figures may be split across an employer's legal entities. Absence of a filing means none appears in our copy of the data, not that none exists.

About the role

  • That vertical integration is our advantage, and it means the suppliers we choose and the deals we strike directly shape our cost and speed.
  • This includes sourcing, planning, and getting it to the line on time.
  • Please note: Base is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Own sourcing for a set of assigned parts: build and run RFQs, compare supplier quotes on cost, lead time, and capacity, and make the call on award.
  • Negotiate price, payment terms, and lead time directly with suppliers, and track savings against the prior baseline.
  • Support qualification of new suppliers and second sources for critical components: gather quotes, samples, and capability data for the team's decision.
  • Global Supply Management owns every part that goes into a Base battery and its associated systems.
  • Sourcing is where that pressure lands first: the team decides who we buy from and on what terms, and builds the leverage and systems that make those calls repeatable.
  • As a GSM Intern, you will own sourcing for a set of assigned parts, run the RFQ process end to end, and negotiate cost and terms directly with suppliers.
  • You will be given parts to source, suppliers to negotiate with, and quotes that carry real weight in our build cost.

Requirements

  • Working toward a degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, operations, mechanical engineering, business, or another quantitative field - or on a comparable path.

Nice to have

  • Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with large, messy datasets.
  • SQL, Python, or scripting is a plus.
  • Genuine interest in how physical products get built.

  • We are ramping in-house manufacturing of our own battery product while qualifying second sources for critical components, which means the plan changes often and the cost of being wrong is a stopped line.
  • Sourcing is where that pressure lands first:
  • the team decides who we buy from and on what terms, and builds the leverage and systems that make those calls repeatable.

  • Base is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly.
