About the role
- The group advises high-net-worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, and closely held business owners on sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and related tax matters.
- Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance.
- Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
Responsibilities
- Structure and implement sophisticated estate plans (wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, family limited partnerships, LLCs, etc.)
- Collaborate with colleagues across corporate, tax, and real estate practices to deliver integrated solutions
- Participate in client development and maintain strong client relationships
- Experience drafting complex estate planning documents independently
Nice to have
- Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on estate and tax planning strategies, including gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax matters
- Counsel clients on wealth preservation, business succession planning, and philanthropic planning
- Assist with estate and trust administration, including post-mortem tax planning
- Work on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional planning matters where applicable
- 4-7 years of experience in trusts and estates / private wealth services at an Am Law firm or leading boutique
- Strong background in estate planning and wealth transfer strategies for high-net-worth individuals
- Exposure to estate and trust administration is preferred
- Excellent academic credentials and strong writing/analytical skills
Compensation
- $310,000 - $420,000
- Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average.
