Responsibilities

  • The Lead Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the thermal and structural design, analysis, and verification of MRI gradient coils.
  • This role partners with cross functional teams across the full product lifecycle-from concept and design through manufacturing, verification, and field support-to deliver high performance, reliable, and manufacturable gradient coil solutions for state of the art MRI systems.

Requirements

  • MS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Solid modeling experience with CREO or equivalent.

Nice to have

  • Conduct non‑linear, modal, and fatigue analyses of complex geometries.
  • Define and execute verification strategies, including thermal‑mechanical testing and correlation of test data with analytical models.
  • Provide technical leadership for cost, quality, reliability, and lifecycle improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working with complex electromechanical systems.
  • Hands‑on expertise in failure analysis and root cause investigation.
  • Strong test‑lab experience with direct involvement in setup, execution, and data interpretation.
  • Exposure to simulation‑driven development approaches such as digital twins, reduced‑order modeling, or AI‑assisted workflows.
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
