About the role
- The Case Manager provides direct physical and supportive services to the young people we serve in Covenant House New York's short-term emergency Youth Shelter, in a positive and nurturing manner, using an integrated, multidisciplinary team approach.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with youth to assess strengths and challenges and develop an individual service plan that reflects the youth's progress and stated goals.
- Creates and maintains confidential records, charts, and logs for youth, documenting all relevant information from individual and group interventions and with collateral services.

- Reporting to CHNY's Program Coordinator, the Case Manager will support a culture that successfully achieves meaningful results for the young people we serve.
Requirements
- Strong multi-tasking skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once required.
- Excellent verbal, written, and problem-solving abilities and an upbeat demeanor are required.
- A strong focus on child protection and ensuring the safety of residents is required.
- Experience working with diverse groups is required.
- Overall flexibility in work schedule required, including weekends, evenings, and holidays if needed.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- If no Bachelor's degree is required, High School or GED is required, with one (1) year of experience in a residential setting working with adolescents preferred.

- $16k-$24k
