About the role

  • We are looking for a Unit Manager, Facilities, to join our growing team!
  • Supervise the work of the team responsible for managing the facilities inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise teams in the Ottawa office with occasional travel to the sites and in Canada to attend management offsites.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Facilities and Reception teams and provide support to business operations.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Facilities' team in Ottawa and provide support for business operations. Supervise and coach the teams.
  • Supervise the work of the team responsible for managing the facilities inquiries. Support Manager in implementing, monitoring, and reinforcing IFC-wide safety policies and protocols within their area of operations.
  • Supervise the work of the Ottawa team responsible for reception duties and inbound calls. Support Manager in implementing, monitoring, and reinforcing IFC-wide safety policies and protocols within their area of operations.
  • Drive team performance and support employee growth and engagement.
  • Review, update and improve business processes to support operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with people at all levels of the organization to analyze their requests and suggest solutions that meet their needs while respecting priorities, policies and the strategic budget.
  • Manage administrative support staff or call centre personnel. Use allocated resources to achieve the team's performance objectives and results.

Requirements

  • At least three to five years of experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to work with thoroughness and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Knowledge of commonly used software, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook), Internet Explorer.
  • No Canadian work experience is required
  • however, you must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Customer-driven.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Focus on excellence.
  • Knowledge of the real estate and building management fields, an asset.
  • Manual skills.
  • Bilingualism (English / French) is an asset considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience is required; however, you must be eligible to work in Canada.

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and French.

Compensation

  • Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

  • Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc.
  • The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles.
  • 80,700 - 98,700
  • Possibility to purchase up to 5 extra days off per year
