About the role

  • Under the direction of the Manager and/or
  • Supervisor of Manufacturing Operations, o perate s any of the following equipment:
  • S ets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform machine and quality checks as outlined in the work standards. Immediately report any out of specification product to the Team Leader or Operations Manager.
  • Maintain a clean working environment and follow all safety guidelines and policies always. Report any unsafe conditions to the Team Leader or Operations Manager.
  • Maintain good communication with team members.
  • Perform basic math calculations to maintain accurate counts of parts produced, adequate parts supply.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Team Leader or Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of 1 year of experience (W1), or equivalent combination of technical school, on-the-job training and work experience.
  • Ability to follow written directions for proper changeover procedures.
  • Some knowledge and experience in Quality Assurance;
  • Ability to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to communicate (speak, read, write) in English.
  • Must be able to work overtime.

Nice to have

  • Forklift operations
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Completion of some secondary/trade school technical and/or general business course is preferred.
  • Good math skills are preferred to interpret drawings and specifications.
