About the role
- Seattle Pacific University's Mathematics and Data Science Program is housed in the Technology Division of the College of Business and Technology.

Responsibilities
- Maintain an active research and/or creative agenda, presenting and publishing as appropriate.
- Other supporting documents when possible (e.g., a representative syllabus; copies of teaching evaluations; one or more recent publications)
Requirements
- Versatility to teach introductory courses across multiple areas of mathematics, statistics, data science, and computer science, and expertise to teach advanced undergraduate courses in at least one of these areas.
- Expertise in issues of ethics in data science.
- Required:
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related field (ABD considered).
- Strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education.

- Preferred:
- Specialization in data science or statistics.

Compensation
- Assistant level salary starts at $76,500, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and assigned rank.
