About the role
- Depending on assignments, you may construct and repair fences, raised flower beds, trail paths, and other related landscaping features.
- One vacancy currently exists in the PARCS Department.
- If the examination process is suspended for this recruitment, the eligible list may be limited to three (3) months.
Responsibilities
- Incumbents assigned to Adult Offender crews must possess at time of application and maintain throughout employment in this classification, a valid Class B California Driver's License with passenger endorsements and CPR certificate.

- Minimum Qualifications/Requirements THE REQUIREMENTS Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications on or before the posted filing deadline in order to qualify for the examination and does not assure a place on the eligibility list:
Nice to have
- Three (3) years of journey level experience performing work related to parks or grounds maintenance.
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Eligibles certified for consideration for hire will be required to successfully pass a Department interview and a Department of Justice fingerprint prior to employment with the City of Fresno.
- Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License is required at the time of application and continued maintenance throughout the entire term of employment in the classification.
