About the role

Depending on assignments, you may construct and repair fences, raised flower beds, trail paths, and other related landscaping features.
One vacancy currently exists in the PARCS Department.
If the examination process is suspended for this recruitment, the eligible list may be limited to three (3) months.

Incumbents assigned to Adult Offender crews must possess at time of application and maintain throughout employment in this classification, a valid Class B California Driver's License with passenger endorsements and CPR certificate.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements THE REQUIREMENTS Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications on or before the posted filing deadline in order to qualify for the examination and does not assure a place on the eligibility list:

Three (3) years of journey level experience performing work related to parks or grounds maintenance.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Eligibles certified for consideration for hire will be required to successfully pass a Department interview and a Department of Justice fingerprint prior to employment with the City of Fresno.
Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License is required at the time of application and continued maintenance throughout the entire term of employment in the classification.
