About the role
- Your work will directly impact how serious strength athletes discover, configure, and purchase the gear they use every day-whether they're outfitting a garage gym or preparing for competition.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with engineering to plan and deliver features across a Node.js microservices architecture supporting mobile and web experiences
- Collaborate closely with QA to ensure high-quality, stable releases across mobile and distributed backend systems
- Manage technical dependencies and coordinate work across full-time developers and consulting resources
- Support architectural discussions by understanding and clearly communicating technical concepts and constraints (without needing to write code)
- Proven ability to discuss technical details, understand system trade-offs, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a technical, platform, or mobile-focused environment
- Strong understanding of modern backend architectures, including Node.js-based services, APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience translating business objectives into clear user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience working with custom frontends built using modern frameworks such as Vue.js
- Familiarity with server-side rendering, performance optimization, and mobile/web integration challenges
- Experience supporting high-traffic, high-demand digital products (e-commerce, media, or consumer platforms)
- Exposure to platform modernization, system migrations, or evolving technical architectures
- CSPO, PSPO, or similar Agile certification
