About the role

  • Provides direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, toileting, feeding, and positioning.
  • Assists with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and procedures.
  • PCU is a 20-bed unit capable of monitoring patients via central telemetry 24 hours a day.

Responsibilities

  • PCU serves as a place for the monitoring and care of patients age 16 to geriatric with moderate or potentially severe physiologic instability, requiring technical support but not necessarily artificial life support.
  • Maintain supplies, equipment, and a safe patient care environment.
  • Basic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don't have it already.
  • Employee Support Fund, for employees in need of emergency financial support
