About the role

  • The Yield Enhancement Technician / Tool Owner is responsible for improving manufacturing yield, optimizing process tool performance, and ensuring equipment reliability within a semiconductor fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform root cause analysis on yield loss using defect inspection, SPC charts, and process data.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve yield and reduce variation.
  • Track and drive key tool metrics such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and uptime.
  • May include shift work, on-call support, or extended hours during critical issues

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, or yield improvement.
  • Familiarity with SPC, FDC, and yield management systems.
  • Knowledge of specific semiconductor process areas (e.g., lithography, etch, deposition).
  • Familiarity with semiconductor defect inspection and metrology tools.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds.
