About the role
- Squatch is looking for a Buyer to join our Supply Chain organization.
- High attention to detail and comfort working in an ERP or similarly complex platform are necessary for success in this position.
- This role will report to the Senior Sourcing Manager.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage purchase orders for contract manufacturing services in Anvyl / Sage and NetSuite based on requirements determined by supply planning.
- Partner with supply planning and production teams to execute PO changes and monitor inventory levels to proactively adjust purchasing as needed.
- Collaborate with the sourcing team to maintain accurate pricing, ensure supplier RFPs and samples are current, and support alternate sourcing options when needed.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and proactive communication.
- Assist in negotiating pricing, payment terms, and lead times to support cost-effective and timely procurement.
- Partner with supply planning, sourcing, quality, retail, and operations teams to align on material requirements, production schedules, and delivery priorities.
- Support sourcing initiatives by reaching out to new suppliers, gathering quotations, ordering samples, and maintaining supplier data for benchmarking and evaluation.
- Track, analyze, and report on key procurement metrics such as lead time performance, cost savings, and supplier reliability.
- Exceptionally, DRSQ may choose to supplement that internal team with support from temporary staffing agencies, placement services, and/or recruiting agencies ("Agency").
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Experience in the consumer products industry strongly preferred.
Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Compensation
- The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $70,000 to $85,000.
