About the role
- MIC provides turnkey facility integration solutions, including cleanroom and MEP construction, DI water, gas and chemical supply systems, wastewater treatment, facility monitoring and control systems, installation, and maintenance services.
- This position is responsible for the overall condition, functionality, safety, and operational readiness of MICU buildings, offices, trailers, storage areas, vehicles, tools, and related facility spaces.
- Although this role may not initially have direct reports, it operates with manager-level responsibility and serves as the primary owner of facility maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day facility operations for MICU buildings, offices, trailers, storage areas, vehicles, and related support spaces.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for facility maintenance, repair, safety, and workplace-support needs.
- Develop, implement, and maintain preventive-maintenance schedules for facilities, vehicles, equipment, and building systems.
- Identify recurring facility concerns and develop short-term and long-term corrective-action plans.
- Evaluate maintenance concerns involving plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, building, trailer, vehicle, and general facility systems.
- Perform or assist with minor repairs and hands-on maintenance tasks within approved scope.
- Develop replacement recommendations for aging, damaged, or unreliable facility equipment.
- Maintain vendor contact information, agreements, insurance records, quotes, invoices, warranties, and service histories.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with property representatives, landlords, contractors, and internal departments.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, property maintenance, industrial maintenance, construction support, or a related field.
- Experience independently managing facility maintenance, repairs, vendors, contractors, or service providers.
- Experience obtaining and reviewing quotes, coordinating repairs, and monitoring service completion.
