About the role

  • About Terabase Energy Terabase Energy is accelerating the deployment of utility-scale solar through advanced software, automation, and digital technologies.
  • Transition operational responsibilities from the external Managed Service Provider (MSP) to an internal IT organization.
  • Define organizational structure, staffing plans, budgets, and operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Build the IT Function Develop and execute Terabase's long-term IT strategy.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement modern IT platforms and tools that improve service delivery, automation, security, and operational efficiency.
  • End User Support Build and manage an internal Level 1 IT support capability.
  • Develop knowledge bases, self-service capabilities, and standardized support processes.
  • Manage ticket queues and continuously improve response and resolution times.
  • Implement modern endpoint management tools for provisioning, configuration, compliance, patching, and software deployment.
  • Own hardware inventory, asset tracking, refresh planning, and secure equipment disposition.
  • Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, multi-factor authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, and role-based access controls.
  • Enterprise IT Applications & Software Asset Management Own administration of IT-managed enterprise applications, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Slack, Zoom, Jira, endpoint management platforms, security tools, and other corporate productivity and collaboration technologies.
  • Manage user provisioning, permissions, licensing, and lifecycle administration across IT-managed enterprise applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience.
  • 3+ years leading IT operations, infrastructure, or end-user computing teams.
  • Experience managing or transitioning work from Managed Service Providers.
  • Experience implementing modern endpoint management solutions (Microsoft Intune or similar).
  • Experience administering enterprise productivity and collaboration applications and software asset management programs.
  • Strong understanding of modern cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience managing corporate network infrastructure including firewalls, switching, routing, VPNs, and wireless networking.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company.

  • Preferred Experience supporting engineering and software development organizations.

Compensation

  • $130k-$175k
