About the role

  • Senior Technical Business Analyst, Private Markets
  • This role sits at the intersection of Russell Investments' Private Markets platform and technology, with a primary focus on supporting private markets investment teams through data, analytics, and process solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with Private Markets investment and operations teams to support deal lifecycle tracking, portfolio monitoring, and fund operations through improved data and technology solutions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of data and reporting solutions that support fund-level and deal-level analysis, performance measurement (IRR, TVPI), and LP reporting.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure solutions align with the realities of private markets data structures and investment processes.
  • Drive improvements in data quality, governance, and integration across private markets systems and datasets.
  • Support and enhance reporting processes used by investment teams, including quarterly reporting, portfolio analytics, and ad hoc investment insights.
  • Manage workstreams or projects, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and delivery execution.

Requirements

  • Required Private Markets Qualifications & Experience
  • Required Technical & Analytical Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role supporting financial systems or data platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data analysis and validation.
  • Ability to translate complex private markets concepts and workflows into structured requirements and scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to bridge investment and technology teams effectively.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading or contributing to projects in asset management or financial services environments.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in working with complex financial and investment data.

Skills

  • Facilitate adoption of new tools and processes within Private Markets teams, including documentation and training.

Compensation

  • $90,000 USD - $140,000 USD
  • Specific compensation will be based on candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
  • At Russell Investments, salary is just one part of our compensation package.
