About the role
- Reporting to the Client Care Manager, the Customs Import Specialist is responsible for processing shipment releases for our clients accurately and efficiently during evening hours, while delivering outstanding service.
- Monitor assigned entry folders and prioritize shipments by ETA for timely submission to customs
- Process entries for ocean, air, truck, and rail shipments
Responsibilities
- Ability to represent GHY professionally and collaborate effectively
Requirements
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Perform other duties as required
- Participation in the afterhours/on-call rotation will be required
Nice to have
- Prior Brokerage Services/Logistics Experience Preferred
Skills
- Strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Compensation
- Fair pay through scheduled salary assessments and a performance-based bonus program.
- 40 hours, 2 PM or later shift start...
- Two Stat Holidays may be required to be worked annually
- Participation in the afterhours/on-call rotation will be required
