About the role

This high performing leader will set the strategy for domestic and international transportation of hardware products with a focus on operational excellence while also preparing for changes to the business.
This leader will also be tasked with continuously monitoring and apprising Hardware Supply Chain Operations leadership of potential risks in the global logistics landscape all the while implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

Lead the end to end strategy through execution of Toast's global transportation function
Own and elevate high-stakes relationships with primary carriers
Build and own Toast's Trade & Compliance program through collaboration with all necessary internal and external parties (i.e. advisory, counsels, brokers and forwarders)
Communicate, escalate and manage risks that are identified with international transportation
Support function leadership in managing the transportation budget, delivering the operation at forecast, while leading cost savings initiatives for year over year improvements

Be a key member of the team that identifies and selects vendors (i.e. carriers, forwarders, brokers etc..) to ensure that Toast has the required capacity to execute per the supply plan at optimal cost
7+ years of direct experience with global freight transportation and trade compliance

The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location.
