  • Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities ------------------------------------ As a SerDes Applications Engineer (AE), you will be the owner of all technical aspects relating to the SerDes interfaces of Broadcom CSG products.
  • These products span a range of markets including Service Provider, Data Center and Enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Support of architecture and low-level hardware questions and issues
  • Replicate field issues in the lab using reference designs and test equipment
  • Perform customer demos and presentations upon request
  • Develop and maintain documentation and supporting collateral
  • Interface to the engineering, software development, architecture, and marketing teams when developing collateral and training materials for CSG products
  • All subject to relevant plan documents and award agreements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working with high speed SerDes and Analog IP
  • Hands on experience with high speed debug and characterization
  • Must have strong debug and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with script-based test automation and strong scripting skills in general
  • Strong understanding of channel loss, jitter, and typical impairments encountered in high speed serial IO designs

Nice to have

  • Experience working with PCIe including Gen6
  • Experience working with 100/200 Gbps per lane Ethernet interfaces
  • Hands on Debug experience with high speed oscilloscopes, BERTs
  • Experience in test and screening methodology for High-Speed interfaces
  • Prior experience with support of high speed serial IO interfaces
  • Prior experience supporting Ethernet and or PCIe interfaces

Compensation

  • The annual base salary range for this position is USD 121,900.00 To USD 195,000.00
