Responsibilities

  • Create white-page designs that will be the foundation of Form Energy's Gen 2 product designs
  • Work with consulting companies, vendors, manufacturing engineers, and technical operations to transition designs from the prototype stage to high volume production
  • Drive verification analysis and testing of your team's design work
  • Establish best practices for fluid system design and level-up your team members
  • Release designs consistent with company and team best practices (drawings, tolerance analysis, etc)
  • Experience leading design work for complex mechanical systems and managing 2 or more direct reports in a functional leadership capacity
  • Understanding of first-principles modeling and design and experience optimizing designs for manufacturing and cost-down
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing mechanical design, balance-of-plant systems, and interdisciplinary interfaces of fluid systems

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Bachelor's with 10+ years of industry experience in mechanical design of equipment, liquid or gas handling systems
