About the role

  • This position focuses on project oversight, stakeholder engagement, funding accountability, and operational implementation.
  • Identify operational challenges, project risks, and service gaps and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Review project claims, invoices, and supporting documentation for compliance and funding eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Support the operational implementation and oversight of provincial projects and initiatives in alignment with organizational priorities and approved workplans.
  • Support the Regional Management Team (RMT) in the implementation of the Métis Youth Summer Student Program, the Employment Partnership Program, and the Employment Supports.
  • Monitor project activities, deliverables, outcomes, and timelines to support effective project execution and accountability.
  • Conduct research and gather labour market information, community feedback, and stakeholder input to support program planning and continuous improvement.
  • Support project evaluation activities and outcome measurement processes.
  • Ensure project information is accurately inputted into FDM and provide quality assurance support to the RMT for regional level projects, MYSSP, EPP, and ESP.
  • Monitor project expenditures and funding utilization to support compliance with approved budgets, contribution agreements, and organizational policies.
  • Support the creation, implementation, and monitoring of contribution agreements, contracts, and partnership agreements related to provincial projects and initiatives.
  • Support collaboration across departments to ensure alignment and effective implementation of provincial programming.
  • Monitor project performance and perform the collection of project data, outcomes, and performance indicators, providing analysis as needed.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Office Administration, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in project coordination, administration, or program support.
  • Experience supporting complex projects, multiple stakeholders, and fast-paced operational environments.
  • Experience working with Indigenous organizations, governments, or community-based initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work a regular schedule Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with weekend and evening availability, as required.
  • Ability to travel throughout Alberta, as required.
  • Acceptable attainment of a Police Information Check is required.
  • equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Other Requirements
  • Reliable transportation and a valid Class 5 driver's license.
