About the role
- The Coding Specialist will review clinical documentation to assign and sequence diagnostic and procedural codes for Same Day Surgery and Observation visits to meet the needs of hospital data retrieval for billing and reimbursement.
- Coder III may interact with client staff and providers.
- For each client, the Coding Specialist - Same Day Surgery, reviews documentation to code diagnoses for hospital-based claims and data needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintains an ongoing current working knowledge of the coding convention in play at client assignments.
Requirements
- Coding experience with ED, Anesthesia and I & I for facility side
- Performs other related duties as required.
