About the role
- Join our Festival Foods Team as a Deli Service Counter Manager!
- Job Title: Deli Service Counter Manager Reports To: Deli Manager Are you passionate about food service and enjoy providing customers (we call them guests!) with delicious meal options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?
- Whether it's a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you'll handle each interaction with professionalism and care.
Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and reinforce company culture, guest service, and performance expectations across the deli team.
- Partner with the Human Resources Manager to maintain appropriate staff levels by interviewing and extending job offers to qualified candidates.
- Provide thorough and consistent training for new Deli associates and offer ongoing support to enhance retention.

Requirements
- Safety Knowledge: A complete understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies, along with knowledge of proper procedures for equipment and safety hazards.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid knowledge of the retail food business, perishable department operations, and merchandising, as well as the ability to make effective and timely decisions.
- Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- If you have prior food service or cashier leadership experience in fast food, restaurant, retail, or are just eager to apply your leadership experience in a grocery kitchen environment, this role is a great opportunity!

- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Full range of upper body motion.
- Ability to work at a fast pace.
- May be exposed to extreme temperatures such as kitchens, coolers, freezers, and sales floors.
- The Deli Service Counter Manager is a full-time position.
