Requirements
- Assumes the role of the Manager as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with power-related software is preferred.
- Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electrical utility industry.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
Compensation
- $145,670.00-$161,860.00
- Salary is commensurate with your experience.

- We have 2 exciting full-time opportunities to join our Distribution Engineering Team as a Lead Engineer.
- Distribution Engineering is responsible for the strategic development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance and operation of the system and its equipment to provide reliable service to customers.
- The group also works to prevent, evaluate and provide appropriate resolutions to system failures.
- The Lead Engineer is responsible for the development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance and operation of the system and its equipment to meet the mission and objectives of the organization.
- In addition, this position coordinates the evaluation of system failures, and the appropriate resolutions, in order to provide support to operations on unplanned maintenance.
- Responsible for ensuring that the Eversource distribution systems are designed to high quality standards that provide customers with safe, reliable, competitively priced and environmentally sound electric service.
- This position shares accountability with peers in the strategy, development, and design of the organization's Life Cycle Plan, a comprehensive long-term plan for the transmission/distribution system.
- Responsible for supervising, assigning, prioritizing and directing the work performed by other Engineers and staff.
- The roles are based in Dorchester, MA
- Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role.
- If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment.
- This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
