Requirements

  • Assumes the role of the Manager as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with power-related software is preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electrical utility industry.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Compensation

  • $145,670.00-$161,860.00
  • Salary is commensurate with your experience.

  • We have 2 exciting full-time opportunities to join our Distribution Engineering Team as a Lead Engineer.
  • Distribution Engineering is responsible for the strategic development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance and operation of the system and its equipment to provide reliable service to customers.
  • The group also works to prevent, evaluate and provide appropriate resolutions to system failures.
  • The Lead Engineer is responsible for the development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance and operation of the system and its equipment to meet the mission and objectives of the organization.
  • In addition, this position coordinates the evaluation of system failures, and the appropriate resolutions, in order to provide support to operations on unplanned maintenance.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Eversource distribution systems are designed to high quality standards that provide customers with safe, reliable, competitively priced and environmentally sound electric service.
  • This position shares accountability with peers in the strategy, development, and design of the organization's Life Cycle Plan, a comprehensive long-term plan for the transmission/distribution system.
  • Responsible for supervising, assigning, prioritizing and directing the work performed by other Engineers and staff.
  • The roles are based in Dorchester, MA
  • Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role.
  • If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment.
  • This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
