About the role

  • We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Pile Driving and Carpenter Foreman to oversee daily operations on construction sites.
  • Specifically, this position will require previous knowledge working on phased bridge construction.
  • This should include working with EFCO and standard formwork, critical lifting with complex rigging, working at heights on tall bridge structures, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Superintendent to schedule work assignments and manage workflow to optimize productivity.
  • Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and labor hours.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to facilitate project goals.

Requirements

  • Ability to wear and work in personnel protective equipment including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, ankle-supporting safety-toed work boots and a safety vest.
  • Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and ascend/descend to reach materials or enter heavy equipment.
  • Individuals must have knowledge and experience working with pile driving.
  • Individuals must have knowledge and experience in carpentry work building bridge formwork.

Nice to have

  • Up to date welding certification is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • additional certifications in construction management or related fields preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry
  • experience in a supervisory role preferred.

Skills

  • Member in good standing of the local union.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in construction management or related fields preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Must be well versed in the use of the EFCO forming system.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
