About the role

Officers will ensure an AED is in the correct area and in working order.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

This role involves monitoring event spaces, controlling access, responding to incidents, and providing professional support to guests, staff, and event organizers while ensuring compliance with company policies and security procedures.
Interviews, investigate and document all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy.
All unsafe or blocked areas should be reported to the Manager on Shift or Supervisor/lead.
Understand and perform duties of assignment.

Security Officers are required to successfully attend and complete the Security Academy within their first 30 days of employment.
Ability to make a quick decision and/or take charge of a potentially volatile or unpleasant situation.
Ability to respond to acts of aggression at the lowest level necessary to effect control.
Ability to assess an incident and determine based on training and experience, which options in the force continuum will be best to de-escalate the situation in a safe and prudent manner.
Ability to read event ticket (visual acuity corrected to read as small as 11-font print) in dim lighting with use of flashlight.

Prior customer service experience preferred.
Experience in a theater/show/event setting is highly desired.
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Prior military, police, or security background is a plus, but not required for this position.
