About the role
- Officers will ensure an AED is in the correct area and in working order.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- This role involves monitoring event spaces, controlling access, responding to incidents, and providing professional support to guests, staff, and event organizers while ensuring compliance with company policies and security procedures.
- Interviews, investigate and document all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy.
- All unsafe or blocked areas should be reported to the Manager on Shift or Supervisor/lead.
- Understand and perform duties of assignment.
Requirements
- Security Officers are required to successfully attend and complete the Security Academy within their first 30 days of employment.
- Ability to make a quick decision and/or take charge of a potentially volatile or unpleasant situation.
- Ability to respond to acts of aggression at the lowest level necessary to effect control.
- Ability to assess an incident and determine based on training and experience, which options in the force continuum will be best to de-escalate the situation in a safe and prudent manner.
- Ability to read event ticket (visual acuity corrected to read as small as 11-font print) in dim lighting with use of flashlight.

Nice to have
- Prior customer service experience preferred.
- Experience in a theater/show/event setting is highly desired.
- Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
- Prior military, police, or security background is a plus, but not required for this position.
