About the role
- The team is responsible for systems that package live media, publish audio/video/subtitle segments, generate live HLS and DASH manifests, and provide reliable playback delivery f or high-scale consumer playback experiences.
- If it's happening live and it's on HBO Max, the Publishing and Origination team is getting that content to customers.
- Participate in daily 30-minute team standups to provide progress updates, identify blockers, and align on priorities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with peers through code reviews, contributing to and maintaining high standards of code quality using GitHub.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive projects forward and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to a shared on-call rotation, providing 24x7 production support for one week at a time on a rotating basis across the team.

- Required Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience with source control, code review, build systems, and CI/CD practices

Skills
- Proficient with 4+ years of experience in one or more modern programming language such as Go, JavaScript/Typescript, Java, C#, Python
- Strong understanding in data modeling and data structure fundamentals
- Proficient in API design and service-oriented architecture
- D eveloping containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as code like CloudFormation or Terraform
- Proficient in the SDLC in an agile environment
- Experience with live streaming video delivery like HLS / DASH, CMAF, DRM, captioning
- Knowledge of AWS or equivalent resources such as CloudWatch, IAM, S3, etc.

Compensation
- $102,830.00 - $190,970.00 salary per year.
- Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
