About the role
- At Sensata Technologies, we are looking for a highly motivated Accountant (Controller) who thrives in a dynamic, international environment.
- In this role, you will take ownership of financial reporting and compliance for European entities, while actively contributing to process improvements and providing valuable financial insights to stakeholders.
- Schrader plays an important role in enabling vehicle safety, efficiency, and performance for leading global automotive manufacturers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the monthly and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Review and support the cashflow process with Corporate Treasury
- Support and strengthen the internal control framework (SOX)
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits
- Deliver financial reports and ad-hoc analyses with actionable insights
- Identify inefficiencies and drive improvements in accounting processes and systems
- Support enhancements to accounting systems and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- Relevant experience in an international environment
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle) and reporting tools (Hyperion) is a plus
Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting standards
- Experience with UK GAAP and multi-GAAP environments is preferred
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong analytical and data interpretation capabilities
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Proactive, ownership-driven, and results-oriented
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Work in an international and highly collaborative finance environment
- Opportunity to own and improve key financial processes
- Exposure to complex accounting frameworks (UK GAAP & US GAAP)
