About the role
- Carnegie Mellon University's department of Finance is searching for a Sponsored Research Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements
- Provide professional-level administrative and fiscal support within a post-award sponsored project accounting environment and be responsible for proactively managing the associated function
- Actively manage financial reporting deadlines in support of sponsored projects
Requirements
- Sponsorship: Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3-5 years of accounting experience required
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
