Responsibilities
- Purge barrels and perform initial cycles to ensure smooth operation.
- Inspect molds for damage or wear during changeovers; perform basic "at-press" maintenance (cleaning, greasing).
Requirements
- basic knowledge of plastic resin behavior and drying requirements.
- 2-5 years of experience in a plastic molding environment, specifically in mold setting or processing.
- Must be able to stand or walk for the duration of an 8- to 12-hour shift on concrete floors.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- must be able to push/pull heavy mold carts and use significant force when tightening mold clamps.
- ability to bend, crawl, and reach into tight machine "tie-bar" spaces to connect lines.
