About the role

  • We a re seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong experience building cloud-native, workflow-driven platforms in regulated financial services environments.
  • This role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting scalable, resilient, and secure backend services that power complex mortgage and lending w orkflows.

Responsibilities

  • Backe nd & Workflow Development: Design and develop backend services using Java Spring Boot; build workflow orchestration solutions with Camunda 8 (BPMN models, connectors, workers).
  • API & Integration Development: Implement API-first services using OpenAPI standards; build secure APIs with OAuth and role-based access controls; support integrations via REST, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
  • Observability & Performance: Implement telemetry, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing; monitor performance with New Relic and ELK Stack; optimize system behavior under load.

Requirements

  • Bac helors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 810 years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus.
  • Hands-on expertise with Camunda 8 (BPMN, connectors, workers).
  • Strong proficiency in Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Expert-level API development experience (OpenAPI, OAuth, resilience patterns).
  • Experience with cloud services (preferably Azure: APIM, Key Vault, managed identities).
  • Bachelors Degree

Nice to have

  • APIM, Key Vault, managed identities).
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes deployments and Helm charts.
  • Strong grounding in Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and secure development practices.
  • (if any) Ex perience deploying/managing self-managed Camunda 8 clusters in AKS.
  • Prior experience in mortgage, lending, or regulated financial services environments.
  • Familiarity with distributed tracing and advanced observability practices.
  • Certifications (if any) N one required
