- Lyft is looking for an experienced Public Policy Manager to join our Policy Team!
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with Lyft senior management on developing public policy priorities
- Work closely with Lyft's Legal, Compliance, Communications, and Marketplace teams on developing market strategy
- Partner with policymakers from across the political spectrum in the best interests of rideshare drivers and riders
- Manage external consultants to assist with key Lyft policy priorities
- Manage strategic relationships with external stakeholders and third party organizations based in NYC.
- Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with strategic local third party and business groups, local nonprofits and community organizations leveraging Lyft's internal programs and product offerings
- Develop strategic public engagement plans positioning Lyft as a "Force for Good" and reliable thought partner to city officials and third party groups in the NYC market
- Oversee local budget and work cross-functionally with Lyft senior management on drafting plans developing public policy priorities
- Mobilize supporters and activists to show their support during key legislative moments
- Based in New York City, this position will manage our local NYC policy efforts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of political, government, and/or government relations experience
- Experience directly lobbying government officials on complex issues
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Proven self-starter with experience leading and winning on complex policy issues
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) - you know how to tell a good story and advocate your position
Compensation
- Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid

- The expected base pay range for this position in the New York City area is $118,000 - $147,500, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
