About the role
- We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer - a senior individual contributor who works across multiple systems on open-ended problems, in close collaboration with peers.
Responsibilities
- Find the problems others miss, and shape solutions that strengthen PayZen's data asset and expand what the platform can own across the patient financial lifecycle.
- Drive Workstreams End-to-End
- Drive workstream delivery end-to-end. Set ambitious but feasible milestones, sequence work to deliver value early, and unblock others proactively.
- Shape the direction of your product surface with cross-functional partners, and adjust your approach through pivots without losing momentum.
- Build Leverage for the Team
- Build tools and systems that create structural leverage for the team, multiplying your impact well beyond your own workstream.
Requirements
- A track record of finding high-impact problems others miss and driving solutions end-to-end.
- Hands-on proficiency in at least one of Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript
- Working knowledge of application security and compliance-regulated environments
Nice to have
- SOC 2 exposure preferred.
