Responsibilities

  • As a Family Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for facilitating family meetings and providing in-home support to strengthen families in their homes.
  • You will coach parents to have safe and nurturing time with their children who are placed in DCF custody, and support them to meet the needs of their children in the moment.
  • You will also call extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms.
  • While we work closely with Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division, we have our own separate and comfortable offices!

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required,
  • Additional compensation is based upon experience and degree ($20.50 for Associate's degree
  • $21.00 for Bachelor's degree
  • $22.50 for Master's degree).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required.
  • Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. We are hoping for flexibility to support parents' individual schedules. We support a healthy work/life balance in this job.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred
  • Two years of human services experience preferred

Compensation

  • Starting $20 hourly. Additional compensation is based upon experience and degree ($20.50 for Associate's degree
  • Up to 9 paid holiday s annually, plus one floating holiday of your choice. For programs that remain open during holiday s, staff scheduled to work will receive holiday pay in accordance with program guidelines.
  • Additional compensation is based upon experience and degree ($20.50 for Associate's degree; $21.00 for Bachelor's degree; $22.50 for Master's degree).
