About the role

  • The Substance Use Disorder Trainee is a person who is in training to become a Substance Use Disorder Professional.
  • During their internship they will work directly under the clinical supervision of a SUDP.
  • This person will learn all of the duties and responsibilities of a SUDP.

  •  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before clients or employees of organization.
  •  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  •  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  •  Must have completed all the classes required to become a Substance Use Disorder Professional and must have completed all the practicum hours required by the State Department of Health to become a Substance Use Disorder Professional.  Must have current Substance Use Disorder Trainee Registration with the State Department of Health.
  •  Must have and maintain a current CPR certification. If not active at time of hire, must obtain within 90 days of hire.  Must have and maintain active First Aid certification.  Must take a TB test annually and at time of hire.  Must hold and maintain an active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License within 90 days of hire date.

Compensation

  • Hourly - Hourly Plan, 26.22 USD Hourly
  • Paid-time-off starting at 24 days per year + 10 paid Holidays.
