  • This project aims to modernise one of Georgia's largest irrigation systems by rehabilitating major hydraulic infrastructure, improving water distribution efficiency, and supporting climate-resilient agricultural development.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed engineering designs for rehabilitation or reconstruction of tunnel structures.
  • Perform hydraulic and structural analyses for tunnels and associated hydraulic structures.
  • Develop rehabilitation solutions for tunnels, galleries, inverted siphons, aqueducts, and related conveyance structures.
  • Coordinate with hydraulic, geotechnical, structural, and irrigation engineers during design development.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, design calculations, and construction details.
  • Support preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQs), cost estimates, and tender documentation.
  • Participate in field investigations, design review meetings, and technical workshops.
  • Ensure designs comply with Georgian regulations, international engineering standards, and EIB, EU requirements.
  • Experience preparing detailed engineering designs for rehabilitation or modernization projects.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of general professional experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the design of hydraulic structures and similar infrastructure projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of international experience outside the country of origin.
  • Experience on projects funded by international financial institutions (EIB, World Bank, ADB, AFD, KfW, EBRD, EU, or similar) is highly desirable.
