Responsibilities
- Oversight and final authority on specification, configuration, design, and certification/validation of the product
- Collaborate with the technical leadership team consisting of Chief Engineers, System Architects and Product Managers.
- Experience developing and tracking program plans/schedules and budgets for technical projects
- Senior Principal Engineers are responsible for the overall design and safety of all C-17 Trainer products.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in large aircraft flight simulation devices
- 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
- 1+ years of experience in proposal effort and statement of work writing
- Experience with modeling and simulation software development
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Nice to have
- 14+ years of experience in large aircraft flight simulation devices
- 5+ years of experience with military flight operations
- 3+ years of experience in proposal effort and statement of work writing
- 5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
- Risk management experience
- Proficient with Excel, Work, PowerPoint
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Experience with Training Systems on Boeing military aircraft platforms

- $164,900- $223,100

- The selected candidate will join the C-17 TS Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) and will be responsible for the design, development, manufacture, integration, testing, delivery and maintenance of pilot and maintenance training devices for a program in the C-17 TS portfolio.
- Provide senior technical leadership for the program and associated program proposals and be the senior technical interface to customers and suppliers
- Play an integral role in the development of the Statement of Work (SOW) and estimates to meet the requirements of our customers.
