About the role
- The ideal candidate will have some experience in a machine shop environment, be proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings for machining/fabrication and possess the ability to use various measuring equipment with precision.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiencies within the machine shop.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Level 2 (Intermediate Experience): Machinists with moderate experience, who can operate machines independently, understand technical documents, and perform more complex tasks under supervision.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a machine shop or related manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with measuring equipment and tools.
- Ability to lift 35lbs from floor to workbench.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical engineered drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical training or certification is a plus.
Skills

- Highly experienced machinists with specialized skills and who mentors levels 1-3.
