About the role

  • We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our fast-growing team at Read AI.
  • You will bridge the gap between complex backend processing and seamless, high-performance user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Architectural Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable web applications and distributed systems across the full stack.
  • Technical Excellence: Set and maintain high standards for code quality through rigorous code reviews, automated testing strategies, and technical documentation.
  • System Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of major product areas, from initial discovery and system design to deployment and post-launch optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Strategy: Partner deeply with Product and Design to influence the product roadmap, ensuring technical feasibility and long-term scalability.
  • DevOps Culture: Drive improvements in our CI/CD pipelines, observability, and infrastructure-as-code to enhance developer velocity.
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable web applications and distributed systems across the full stack.
  • Set and maintain high standards for code quality through rigorous code reviews, automated testing strategies, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Mastery of Frontend: Expert-level knowledge of React and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of state management, performance profiling, and modern CSS strategies.
  • Robust Backend Expertise: Proven track record of designing high-throughput RESTful/GraphQL APIs and microservices using Node.js, Java, or Python.
  • Infrastructure & Data: Strong experience with AWS (or similar cloud providers) and deep proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL database design and optimization.
  • Expert-level knowledge of React and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of state management, performance profiling, and modern CSS strategies.

Compensation

  • Software Engineer positions offer a base pay range of $180,000-$220,000 plus equity and benefits.
