- If the answer is YES, we have an Operations Technician/Plant Operator position for you in Baytown, TX!
- Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opening for an Operations Technician/Plant Operator at our Baytown 3 HyCO facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, safety inspections, and plant log readings.
- Maintain online training program requirements.
- Maintain water chemistry.
- Perform troubleshooting on equipment.
- Issue safety work permits and performs lock out / tag out of various process equipment.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in operations, maintenance, or monitoring of industrial process plants is required.
- Must have the ability to obtain a TWIC upon hire.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.
- Elevated work required.

- Required Skills / Abilities:
Nice to have
- Military experience or a Process Technology certificate or degree is preferred but is not required.
Skills
- Experience in operations, maintenance, or monitoring of industrial process plants.
- Ability to read/understand piping and instrumentation drawings.
- Electrical, instrument or mechanical maintenance experience.
- Basic computer proficiency and software knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- A Teammate that is flexible and has a positive attitude.
- Commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.
