About the role
- Under general supervision, this position assembles and wires electrical components, subassemblies, and systems used in switchgear products.
- This role adheres to established procedures and work instructions to ensure assemblies meet quality, safety, and engineering specifications.
- The Electrical Assembler/Wirer contributes to production goals while upholding nVent values and safety standards.
Requirements
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, crimpers, wire cutters, and tape measures
- Ability to follow detailed procedures with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency Expectations
- Ability to lift, push, or pull materials in accordance with job requirements

Nice to have
- Assemble electrical and electromechanical systems, frameworks, and enclosures applied in switchgear manufacturing
- Measure, cut, route, label, and terminate wire to specified lengths and standards
- Install and connect electrical components such as terminal blocks, breakers, relays, control devices, and bus components
- Review and analyze work orders, wiring diagrams, and schematics to identify materials and assembly instructions
- Adjust, repair, or replace electrical components to resolve defects and ensure conformance to specifications
- Identify, mark, and tag parts and assemblies for tracking, quality, and inventory purposes
- Prepare finished products for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and minor touch-up work
- Assist with loading or movement of completed assemblies when required
