Responsibilities
- Our client is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm that partners with developers and landowners across Ontario to deliver turnkey residential and commercial projects.
- With deep expertise in urban & rural planning, civil engineering, architectural design and environmental sciences, our client is known for its strong technical coordination and rigorous project governance.
- This pivotal, client-facing role requires a leader who can masterfully manage detailed schedules and budgets, mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, and, most importantly, actively drive new business development by cultivating strong client relationships and securing new streams of revenue.
- Lead and manage all phases of land development projects, including planning, design, permitting, and construction.
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers. designers, and technicians.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices
- Prepare project cost estimates and manage budgets effectively.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize financial impacts. Assist in the preparation of proposals, bids, and contracts.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a senior technical or project management role, mentoring junior staff and reviewing work for technical accuracy and compliance.
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a significant focus on land development and municipal infrastructure projects.
Compensation
- Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training.
